A Passion for Investing
FinRock.ai emerged from a commitment to simplify the financial world for investors. We identified a key issue: the reliance on multiple platforms for real-time financial data. Investors often face cluttered setups—screens filled with charts from one provider, news from various sources, SEC filings from EDGAR, and a struggle to track market signals. This approach, though workable, is inefficient and risks missed opportunities. Existing tools were either too costly or slowed by outdated interfaces. Determined to create a better solution, we built FinRock.ai to streamline investing.
Harnessing Cutting-Edge Technology
FinRock.ai uses artificial intelligence (AI), large language models (LLMs), and machine learning to deliver an accessible investment platform. In today’s fast-evolving tech landscape, our goal is to equip investors with real-time tools and insights. Combining finance and technology expertise, we created a platform that transforms portfolio management.
Building the Foundations
We started with a prototype built in Python, SQL, and Streamlit to test and refine features for analyzing publicly traded stocks. The aim was to create a tool that simplifies risk management, portfolio diversification, and tracking of financial events—tasks once handled manually in spreadsheets. This focus on efficiency drove FinRock.ai’s early development.
Advancing the Technology
The platform evolved from Python to Django, then to NextJS for improved performance. FinRock.ai now uses FastAPI for API connectivity, PostgreSQL for managing financial data, filings, and sentiment analysis, and WebSocket connections for real-time UI updates. Our tech stack, including TypeScript, JavaScript, Go among more, ensures users benefit from cutting-edge tools.
A Journey of Innovation
Over the past year, development has accelerated, with the last six months showing rapid progress. New features are added quickly—major updates now take days, not weeks, including testing and fixes. As we near the Alpha Release, we’re refining the platform for a seamless user experience.
